new artist- jars of clay
A new Artist or band in the month of August is called Jars of Clay. Many of you probably don’t recognize the name but they have made the iTunes new releases. Their songs are a mix of alternative rock, folk, and R&B. Their most recent album is called Inland and was released on August 27, 2013. Although it was just released, it is growing very popular with a 4 star rating.
Jars of Clay are from Nashville Tennessee. The band is made up of 4 men named Dan Heseltine, Steve Mason, Charlie Lowell and Matt Bronleewe. In the early 1990’s they formed at the Greenville collage in Greenville, Illinois. For some having a career in music wasn’t their plan. Some of their songs were written for recording classes that they were taking in college. In the beginning there were only three of them; Dan Heseltine, Steve Mason, And Charlie Lowell. Matt Bronleewe, their guitarist, joined at a later point. Their first few gigs were at local coffee shops, but they’ve earned a chance to be heard by a wider audience, so check them out!

amazing 12 year old singer
This young man, living in a small town in the Philippines, is one of the most amazing singers I've ever heard. Watch this video of him and his cousin on the Ellen show not only to hear his wonderful voice, but for his wonderful sense of humor and amazing story.
